Maternal Energy
Maternal Energy Holistic Healing serves as a bridge to help people move from survival to soulful living. Aligning mind, body, heart & spirit, so everyone can live with authenticity, clarity, inner peace and balance. Recognising healing as a way of navigating life’s transitions—from experiences of suffering during stages such as childhood, puberty, postpartum, or menopause, to moving through anxiety, grief, mental illness, or cancer—only touching the surface of what it means to be human: to suffer, to heal, and to be alive.
Guiding people to embrace life's challenges as opportunities for growth, to transform suffering into wisdom, and to find their way to feeling joy, loving-kindness and compassion within themselves and others.
Molly Jervis
Maternal Energy first came to me after the arrival of my second child, a time that brought both deep love and profound challenge. I found myself navigating anxiety, the intensity of breastfeeding & sleep deprivation, and the weight of societal expectations placed on women and mothers.
Through that experience, I felt a strong calling to support other women in their own healing journeys. Drawn to metaphysical practices, trauma work, and somatics, I began studying holistic counselling, sound therapy and went on to complete my Masters in Reiki training.
During this period, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Medullary Thyroid Cancer, an experience that deeply transformed my perspective. It reinforced my commitment to healing, not only physically, but through the mind-body connection and at the level of the subtle body and the nervous system. This work became essential for me, and it now forms the foundation of how I intend to support others in their healing, awakening their inner wisdom, and stepping into a deeper sense of balance and alignment.
Walking alongside me in both life and Maternal Energy is my husband, Jason. Through his own challenging experiences, and eight years as a high school teacher, he continues to build upon his deep passion for helping others feel safe and supported. As a continuing student of Buddhism and Reiki Master, with training in massage therapy, he helps deepen and expand the support Maternal Energy offers to those on their healing journey.

The Logo
The Maternal Energy logo was originally inspired by the glands of woman’s breasts, reflecting the deep physical and emotional demands that breastfeeding once held in my life. Over time, its meaning has evolved. It now also represents the heart as an energetic centre, the home of our innate maternal essence within the body.
The illustration further mirrors the delicate wings of a fairy, symbolising one of the many forms of spiritual guidance close to my heart, and that exists both within and around us, always. The logo also echoes the leaves and roots of a tree representing interconnectedness and the seasons of change we move through in life, while reminding us of the importance of staying deeply grounded, anchored within ourselves as we grow, shift, and evolve.
More than a symbol of Maternal Energy Holistic Healing, this logo is a reminder of the power that lives within each of us, the ability to heal, to transform, and to live authentically in alignment with our true nature. It is a reflection of you (ME), of all of us: our own inner source of wisdom, energy, and wholeness.
My Cancer Healing Journey
An evolving & fluid mix of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual insights from my cancer healing journey—past to present, to future —that I have found/continue to find valuable in nurturing my nervous system and building the holistic lifestyle that suits me. Learning the importance of pausing, slowing down, flowing and trusting the process, as opposed to rushing, fixing, proving and doing everything all at once. Understanding the necessity of boundaries for energy protection, self respect, breaking cycles and paving the path forward for your children. Realising that there can be a healing path, from safety to peace, that looks different for everyone.
To Slow Down= Safety
To Feel = Joy
To Choose = Empowerment
To Breathe = Connection
To Express = Truth
To Observe = Clarity
To Accept = Peace
Medical Support
I started my cancer healing journey fresh out of surgery (thyroidectomy + lymphnodes), which was about a week from being diagnosed. This was where I first felt (and still do feel) the powerful energy of safety in nurturing. This was a time of restful recovery and medical support by the nurses, doctors, hospital staff, family and friends.
The start of taking thyroid medication and anti-cancer tablets daily, set the path for conventional healing support. This was the beginning of digging deeper into my connection with all forms of nurturing - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
Meditation / Visualisation / Reiki
After my surgery, early on in my healing journey, I found myself first connecting to Reiki self-healings, and practicing visualisation as a form of meditation to engage my mind & body (see my 'Chakra Fairies Art Series'). I also enjoyed reading short Buddhist aspirational prayers, and listening to a range of mantras, including the 'Medicine Buddha Mantra' song by Barbara Juniper.
Crystals, oracle cards, and Buddha/Bodhisattva statues, among an array of spiritual tools and companions from my own collections and generously gifted, have surrounded me and my spaces from hospital to home, continuously nurturing faith, guidance and healing on my path.
Warm Comfort & Relaxation
After surgery, I was keen to jump straight into anything & everything cancer & healing. However, this was not what my body wanted. It wanted slow, gentle & joyful. Firstly all things childhood comforts & choice. Everything from fun food and comfy clothes, to movies and sleep ins.
To add to the flow of freedom came self-nurturing with placing my body in warmth. This included regular salt baths, and saunas, with my wheat bag being my all day & night best friend.
Emotional Release
It took me a little while to lean into the act of crying for no reason, knowing that my body needed to let go of deep & suppressed emotions like grief. I didn’t realise that this type of crying loosened areas in my body that were beyond stagnant - areas that were blocked for what felt like years.
Along with the release of crying, things like cold/virus symptoms actually helped me cleanse inflammation from my body. And when I say inflammation, it seemed like I was holding onto years of (for the lack of a better word) phlegm.
I’m also very grateful to have discovered a creative outlet during this time, from instagram posts about healing, and listening to music, to making art and designing business pieces.
Warm Nourishment
Continuing on with my desire for warmth, came the love of daily hot beverages. From Buddha’s Tears, Rooibos & Rose Tea, and CCF Tea, to all of the ‘Organic India Tea’ range. Without forgetting the beloved Turmeric /Golden Milk Latte’s enjoyed as an after dinner delight.
I have also gained a new found appreciation for porridge and soups, with both making their way into my daily life during autumn. The feeling of warm and comforting nourishment for the mind and body is like no other.
Complementary Therapies
With Reiki already in my life, I continued on to gain my Masters. I found healings from mentors, alongside sound therapy & kinesiology incredibly nurturing. With my husband also being a Reiki Master, and now Massage Therapist, I’m even more fortunate to have the nurturing benefits of massage close by.
Alongside energy healing modalities and massage therapy, talk therapy with a psychologist allows me to release in a different way. Paired with the support of anti-anxiety medication offers a necessary form of nurturing for my nervous system.
Gentle Movement
Continuing my deepening connection with physical, mental, emotional and spiritual nurturing, I have come to discover the act of deep breathing and its cleansing + healing + rejuvenating power involved in mind-body connection. Alongside various breathing exercises (or just remembering to stop and breathe in general), I have come to enjoy gentle, slow and sometimes scattered throughout the day (because kid life) - various Qi Gong and Yin Yoga stretches.
Going for regular walks are something I’m only just starting to do now, purely because I feel I actually want to/can go for a walk - they’ve become a joyful choice. Something I wasn’t motivated to do, even the slightest bit, before now…. Most probably because I now feel lighter since letting go of the weight of stagnant energy/inflammation in my mind/body - crazily enough, I feel like I can finally breathe (literally) - and possibly because I’ve only just noticed how glorious autumn is (as a season and stage of life).
